PROVENCE & RHONE VALLEY

Between Provence and the Rhone Valley, Chateau la Canorgue is in a privileged spot for wine growing, having an exceptional terroir on the North flanks of the Luberon.

The domains 40 hectares are planted with Rhodanian and Mediterranean species for the Luberon AOC. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Bourboulenc, Vermentino…originality is one of the domain’s specificities, species less typical of the region such as Merlot, Cabernet, Gamay…were also been planted on the domain many years ago and are used to produce our Vins de Pays (IGP Indication Géographique Protégée Méditerranée).

The average age of the vines is about 40, with a few plots of 80 year old stock and some over one hundred years old.

Small yields are deliberately produced (between 15hl/hectare and 30hl/hectare) to favour the quality of the wine.
